Note: this used to be a Polar F11 review website (hence the name of the site), but this heart monitor has been replaced by the Polar FT40 and it is quite hard to find a Polar F11 for sale these days, so I now usually recommend other great and cheap heart monitors for sale and also to take a look at the Polar heart monitors featured here, at the top of this page.

Polar F11 Review

I believe polar products with their polar F6, FT40 and FT60 are among the best heart rate monitor watches available - Polar heart monitors for women are wildly popular!. That does not mean they are perfect, but still, they are one of the best available at the market. With many standard and optimal features like Polar OwnZone®, OwnCal® and OwnIndex®, a polar chest strap allied with its watch, will provide you with many resources to fully guide, enhance and analyze your sports' performance. Whether you are a professional or just a sport's enthusiast, polar watch will definitely suit your needs. Additionally, if you would like to check some other good alternatives, you may check my affordable watch with heart rate monitor review article where I talk about one of the best heart rate monitor for sale.

Polar Fitness Watches - Pros

I'll first list some key features of a polar heart rate watch before listing the cons (like said, even though it is a great watch, there are some downsides to it).

One of the key features in the Polar f11 heart rate watch is its ability to create a well suited and personal work out program just like you can do with a Polar RS100. This is possible to constant analyze of the user's data input. After you have exercised, you can download all your information stored in your polar heart rate monitor watch directly to your computer and use its softwares to better evaluate and analyze how your training is. You might soon realize a lot of wrong choices you have made to your exercises and how more is not always betters: there is a thin line between pushing it hard and breaking the limit. This can indeed prevent many injuries and troublesome recoveries from a bad training habit.

Polar Heart Rate Monitors

Allied with its work out program, polar fitness watches like the Polar FT7F can store up to 24 previous training including the calories you have burned during exercise and your average heart rate as % of your maximum target. Later, you can download it all to your computer and even upload it to polar online website to have professional trainers evaluate and compare your training to others. These polar fitness watches have also the ability to automatically calculate, if you want it to, the target range that you should be aiming at based on your birthday date. Not so useful, but still there.

Polar Fitness Watches - Cons

As for the cons of having polar fitness watches, I can enlist here three main factors that you might want to take an additional look before deciding to buy a polar heart rate monitor:

  • Polar Design: I'll be honest here: I believe polar heart rate watches are not the fanciest watches available on the market. Don't get me wrong, I prefer an ugly working watch anytime over a good-looking bad watch. But they could improve their design skills. Also, its wrist, although quite strong which is a good things!, is a bit inflexible and stiff making them sometimes hard to take it off; nothing big, just something I've noticed.
  • Polar PC software: you can download all the data in one easy process. But then, your data is only available online and there is almost no flexibility on viewing it. There are not many options to sort it through and there are not even heart rate exact values - only ranges. Nothing to get too hang up with, but there is definitely some room for improvement here.
  • Polar Manual: the manual is not the worst manual I've ever seen, but it is certainly not the best. You will have to take your time to read the manual and find your way through the watch. But is definitely worth it since after, you will be able to proper analyze and monitor your results.

Polar F11 Heart Rate Watch - Conclusion

I hope I have provided you with enough tips and an honest review of polar fitness watches. Also, make sure you browse around a bit before making your buying decision since I've seen the recommended price in many places and I know for sure that you can find cheaper prices. So, make your due diligence and dig around bit before buying your polar f11 watch.
